Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Fathoms Deep ("we", "us", operated by AsloWaves) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the game client, launcher, and website.
1. Information we collect
- Account information — your email address and display name, used to create and manage your account (handled through our accounts provider, PlayFab / Microsoft).
- Gameplay data — progress, statistics, and in-game state associated with your account.
- Support & bug reports — the description, optional contact info, and any diagnostic log you choose to send when reporting a bug.
- Technical data — standard server and CDN logs (such as IP address and request metadata) generated when you download updates or load the website, used for security and reliability.
2. How we use it
- To provide and operate the game and your account.
- To deliver updates and show live service status.
- To respond to bug reports and support requests.
- To protect the Service against fraud, abuse, and security threats.
3. Third-party services
We rely on a small set of service providers who process data on our behalf:
- PlayFab (Microsoft) — account authentication and player data.
- Cloudflare — website and API hosting, content delivery, and security.
- Discord — community features and delivery of bug reports you submit.
- GitHub — hosting of launcher release downloads.
Each provider has its own privacy practices; we encourage you to review them.
4. Cookies & local storage
The website uses your browser's local storage to keep you signed in and to remember preferences (such as your view and theme choices). We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
5. Data retention
We keep account and gameplay data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove or anonymize associated personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.
